| The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Rashti & Rashti on
Tuesday announced a voluntary recall of approximately 44,000 pink
giraffe security blankets sold exclusively at Target stores because they
pose a choking hazard, according to a May 18 CPSC press release.
“The balls on top of the giraffe’s horns can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children,” according to the CPSC.
No injuries have been reported, but consumers are advised to immediately take the recalled blankets away from children and contact the blanket importer, Rashti & Rashti, for a full refund.
