Chicago-based Urban Partnership Bank, the successor to failed ShoreBank, is closing its Bellwood branch at 219 Mannheim Road in May, and opening a new one in the neighborhood this fall at 4310 St. Charles Road.

Urban Partnership Bank is working with Techno Ltd., a Chicago architectural and interior design firm. They planĀ  to renovate the former restaurant, which had been vacant for more than a year, and turn it into a 2,700-square foot bank branch. Urban Partnership was represented by Ken Galvin of Baum Realty.

The bank is buying the freestanding building and 23,470-square-foot lot from North Star Trust Co.
