The water balls were invented by myself , Charles Jones in 1998, we have used them for years , they are totally safe to use, there is almost 2 hours of available breathing air inside a 2m sized ball , just do the calculations for the volume of a sphere to find out .
The US government sets a standard for workers that are in a crowded area and the amount of carbon dioxide released from breathing by workers cannot exceed certain limits .
You need to stay inside a water ball for almost 2 hours to reach the limit imposed by the US government .
If someone would only ask the inventor of the water ball about the tests we have done for these balls over the years , we have never had anyone killed or even an accident reported that was caused by the use of a water ball .
There is plenty of air to use inside a ball for rides of 5-7 minutes .
Now for the question of getting a leak or small hole in the ball .
Air does not rush out of the ball if there is a small hole in the water ball then it could take up to 20 minutes to deflate as there is a lot of air inside the water balls and a small hole will not cause any problems or fast delation of the water ball .
Now lets think about the safety aspect of the balls. Most water balls are used in inflatable swimming pools that have normally less than 1 foot deep of water . You have to be in the water in order to drown , if you are inside a water ball you are not even getting wet .
You need one person for filling the water ball with air , so the balls are always supervised .
There are no real dangers to using the water balls if they are used according to our instructions it is virtually impossible to have an accident and its ridiculous to thing that the water balls are not safe. 14 years running water balls without any accidents , no one can tell me they are not safe , and no one has showed any evidence to support their claims that the water balls are not safe . The water balls are safe ,at least my water balls are safe I cannot speak about the chinese factories that have copied the water balls and their materials or workmanship , but I can tell you that the idea is the same and the risks are practically zero .
The Flaming Lips walk on top of people hands during their concerts and even that use was considered safe after a risk assessment was done about the balls being used in this way .
Also this use was considered a very small risk of injury or harm to anyone .
