Verizon Wireless is expected to announce Tuesday that it will start selling a version of Apple Inc.’s iPhone, ending AT&T Inc.’s exclusive relationship with Apple.

A version of the iPhone for Verizon’s network has been long expected, and Verizon Wireless has invited the press to an event at 10 a.m.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that the company is set to announce that it will sell the iPhone starting sometime late this month. Verizon Wireless, Apple and AT&T haven’t confirmed the report.

Analysts expect Verizon to sell anywhere from 5 million to 13 million iPhones this year.

Verizon Wireless, the country’s largest wireless carrier, is a joint venture of Verizon Communications Inc. of New York and Vodafone Group PLC of Britain
