Democrats mull alternative to Obama tax plan

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives are considering a counterproposal to the one drafted by President Barack Obama and Republicans to extend all Bush-era tax cuts, Democratic Representative Adam Schiff said on Thursday.

Schiff made the comment after a closed-door meeting of House Democrats where lawmakers, on a voice vote, agreed that the Obama measure should not come up for a vote in their chamber.

    our congress was elected to make decisions for the people not themselves, so if these tax cuts work for americans then they should pass it.(granit americans who make more than $100,000.00 a year shouldnt get a break, that is something we have to live with, there are some 2 million plus americans whom are out of work and going to loose their unemployment benifits in a week or two, and they elected officals are stopping this, . that is ********
