Carl Icahn buys more Motorola shares

Billionaire investor Carl Icahn is continuing to buy up shares of Motorola Inc., disclosing his second batch of purchases in a week.

In a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Icahn reported that he bought about 3.3 million shares of the Schaumburg-based technology company on Friday, Monday and Tuesday. These acquisitions bring his stake in Motorola to 250.4 million shares, or roughly a 10.7 percent stake.

On Thursday, Icahn had disclosed in an SEC filing that he had bought Motorola shares that week. His stake at that time amounted to about 10.6 percent.
