Associated Press | Playboy has named Christoph Pachler chief financial officer and
executive vice president, filling a post that has been vacant since
last year. Pachler, 43, will start his new job on May 24, the company
said Monday. He currently serves as senior vice president of strategy
and operations at Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Playboy Enterprises Inc. has been looking for a buyer since Scott Flanders became CEO in June, replacing longtime head Christie Hefner, the daughter of Hugh Hefner.

Pachler’s background in “structuring, negotiating and executing deals will immediately benefit our business units, while our global operations will profit from his in-depth knowledge of international markets,” Flanders said in a statement Monday.

Robert Campbell, 48, who has served as interim CFO since the end of 2009, will report to Pachler, the company Playboy.
