Associated Press | Samsung and Panasonic will start selling 3-D TVs in U.S. stores this week. This inaugurates what all TV makers hope is the era of 3-D viewing in the living room.
Samsung Electronics Co. is announcing Tuesday that it is selling two 3-D sets, combined with the required glasses and 3-D Blu-ray players. The packages start at about $3,000. Panasonic Corp. has said it will sell its first 3-D set Wednesday.
For now there isn’t much 3-D programming to watch on these TVs. Samsung is including a 3-D copy of “Monsters vs. Aliens” on Blu-ray discs with its packages.
I honestly cannot believe people think this is cool.
I was under the impression that majority of the current fare on television was already 3-D;
Disgusting, Deplorable and Despicable.
Whether 2-D or 3-D its still unwatchable crap.
Waste. No channels are broadcasting in 3D
Check out Season One, Episode One of “The Honeymooners”. Ralphie boy better get his wallet out!
I smell a Betamax redux.
Amazing how people still remember the Betamax flop. Or the Digital Compact Cassette or HD-DVD format.
Yeah, inLaw, it’s called memory.
