PrivateBancorp appoints treasurer, CIO, CTO

Tribune staff report | Chicago-based PrivateBankcorp Inc. said it has appointed a new treasurer, chief information officer and new chief technology officer.


Hammad Pirzada, was named a managing director and corporate treasurer.
Pirzada joined PrivateBancorp from TransUnion Corp., where he had
served as vice president, corporate finance, and corporate treasurer
since 2008.

Elizabeth “Bess” Cummings has been named chief information officer,
responsible for corporate technology and operational infrastructure,
including facilities management and security. Cummings joined
PrivateBancorp in 2008 as chief operations officer from JPMorgan Chase.

James “Chip” Bennett has been named chief technology officer,
overseeing all information technology activities for the company.
Bennett joined PrivateBancorp from information technology consulting
firm FC Partners Group LLC.
