Inc., announced its acquisition of the Footnoted business of Financial
Fineprint Inc., including the Web site Footnoted.org and the Footnoted
Pro service. Terms of the deal between Morningstar and the privately
held company were not disclosed.

Footnoted will continue to be led by Michelle Leder, who founded the firm in 2003. Morningstar said it plans to make some content from the site available on its own Web site and footnoted.org will soon become footnoted.com. Footnoted Pro material will be made available to Morningstar’s institutional clients.
